We are civil, mechanical and electrical engineers with 30+ years of infrastructure design and construction experience. The Arpen Group, which is the parent company to EII, was located in Los Angeles for 25 years where it performed engineering services for that community as well as others across the country. Many of the projects during those years involved distribution of water, power and the use of renewable energy gases to operate pumps and generators in our sewer plant designs. In the early 1980’s Arpen participated in the construction of the first large scale solar project in the country located in Barstow, California. In recent years Arpen has designed a number of large solar projects in Mexico and Kenya. In 2013 work began on developing methods to provide 24 hour power from only renewable energy sources.
EII was formed in Texas in late 2014 as an engineering and scientific research company to continue research into the Hydrogen Cycle and to secure funding for those endeavors. Patents for the process were filed in 2014 and were approved in 2018. Also in 2014 we constructed a solar research project to verify anticipated solar results from dual axis tracking solar arrays and last year we constructed the proof of concept pilot plant for the combined production of power and potable water using the Hydrogen Cycle.
The Hydrogen Cycle
The primary energy source is the solar array on dual axis tracking pedestals. The dual axis tracking follows the sun and keeps the solar panels perpendicular to the sun’s rays producing 45% more energy during the day than a fixed tilt array. During daylight hours energy from the solar array is divided between the user or grid and the production plant that produces hydrogen and potable water. The stored hydrogen is then burned in generators to provide night time power.
